HOUSTON -Texas: A southwest Houston Popeyes restaurant is facing public scrutiny after a customer alleged he discovered what appeared to be a condom embedded inside a piece of fried chicken after taking a bite of his meal.

The customer claims the incident occurred after purchasing food from the restaurant on South Sam Houston Parkway West. According to the customer, he immediately sought medical treatment and later filed a police report.

The allegation quickly gained attention on social media, prompting community activists Quanell X and Dr. Candice Matthews to visit the restaurant and hold a press conference demanding answers. The activists called for a full investigation, urged the restaurant to temporarily stop serving chicken while the matter is reviewed, and requested forensic testing of the alleged foreign object.

The incident has generated widespread public reaction, with many questioning how such an object could have allegedly ended up inside a cooked piece of chicken. Others have urged the public to wait until investigators determine the facts.

As of Wednesday, no law enforcement agency has released findings regarding the allegation, and the claims remain under review. No official determination has been made about how the alleged foreign object entered the food.
