Houston, TX – Houston’s vibrant Pakistani-American community shone bright as the South Texas Chapter of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA-STC) hosted its much-anticipated Annual Meeting & Gala 2024. Held in the heart of the city, the event drew an impressive crowd of over 700 Pakistani-American physicians, celebrating their dedication to healthcare and community service.
The night was a perfect blend of entertainment and recognition. Renowned Pakistani actor and comedian Ahmed Ali Butt kept the audience entertained with his witty humor, while the soulful voice of celebrated singer Ahmed Jahanzeb mesmerized attendees with his famous hits, creating an unforgettable musical atmosphere.
Adding to the prestige of the evening, Congressman Al Green attended as the Chief Guest, applauding the contributions of Pakistani-American physicians to Texas and beyond.
The highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, led by Texas APPNA President Dr. Riaz, honoring key figures for their outstanding service. Community leader Saeed Sheikh, aspiring Democratic leader Ibrahim Javed, and Congressman Al Green were among the recipients celebrated for their efforts to uplift the community. Distinguished physicians were also recognized for their exceptional work in healthcare.
