The City of Sugar Land is ushering in the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting tonight at Sugar Land Town Square, located at 2711 Plaza Drive. The free event, running from 5 to 8 p.m., promises an evening of festive cheer, entertainment, and activities for the entire family.
Organizers have announced a lineup of exciting attractions, including Photos with Santa, a sparkling “LET IT SNOW” photo booth, and Santa’s sleigh for picture-perfect moments. Attendees can also enjoy a thrilling 8-foot snow slide and interactive icy blue LED swings.
The main stage will showcase performances from local schools and dance groups, culminating in a live concert by a popular band. Onsite food and beverage options will be available for purchase, adding to the festive atmosphere.
To ensure a smooth experience, the City of Sugar Land has arranged shuttle services from Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd) between 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to utilize the shuttle service to avoid parking congestion and traffic delays.
Council Member Naushad Kermally expressed enthusiasm for the event, calling it a hallmark of the city’s holiday celebrations. “This is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate the magic of the season,” he said.
As the tree lights up Sugar Land Town Square, the city invites everyone to join the celebration and kick off the holidays in style.
