GREATWOOD, TX – July 4, 2025:
The Greatwood community came alive with red, white, and blue on Friday morning as families gathered for the 15th Annual Greatwood 4th of July Parade, a cherished neighborhood tradition that brought together residents of all ages to celebrate America’s 249th Independence Day.

The festivities began bright and early at 8:00 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast served across from Campbell Elementary School, where neighbors mingled, shared stories, and kicked off the morning in true community fashion.

By 9:30 a.m., the excitement built as children and families showcased their creativity during the costume and decorating competitions, which were judged behind the school. Bicycles, golf carts, strollers, and even pets were decked out in stars, stripes, and sparkle—each entry proudly radiating patriotism.

At exactly 10:00 a.m., the much-anticipated parade stepped off from behind Campbell Elementary, winding its way through the neighborhood. The air buzzed with laughter, music, and cheers as decorated floats, marching participants, and waving children created a festive, inclusive atmosphere that embodied the American spirit.

The celebration wrapped up with a community lunch at 11:00 a.m., where residents gathered once again to relax and enjoy each other’s company under the summer sun.

Organized by the Greatwood Parade Committee, the event reminded everyone of the power of neighborhood connection and the pride shared in being part of a free and diverse nation.

“This is what America is all about—community, freedom, and families coming together,” one longtime resident shared.

As fireworks lit up the skies later in the day, the Greatwood parade stood out as a glowing symbol of tradition, unity, and hometown pride.
