Houston’s Winter Comes Back: Arctic Cold Front Set to Hit This Weekend

Houston, TX – Houston is about to get another taste of winter as a cold front moves in this weekend. This time, it’s bringing a blast of chilly Canadian air that will make the Houston Marathon on Sunday feel extra cold for the runners.

Thursday will be a calm day with a little sun and clouds, and temperatures will warm up to the mid-60s. But don’t get too comfortable—by Saturday night, a powerful cold front will bring a serious drop in temperatures. Along with the front, we can expect showers and storms Saturday afternoon.

This cold front is bringing in chilly winds straight from Canada, and by Sunday morning, the Houston Marathon runners will be facing temperatures in the 40s, and the wind will make it feel even colder.

After the cold front passes, most of the country will experience below-normal temperatures, and this winter chill is expected to last through Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

It’s a reminder that winter isn’t over just yet! Houston residents need to be ready for the cold and possible wet conditions, especially if you’re traveling Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Stay tuned for updates and take care, folks—this winter is not backing down!
