Ismaili CIVIC Volunteers Bring Holiday Cheer to Houston Families in Need

By - Madiha Masood 1 Mins Read

For over 18 years, Ismaili CIVIC volunteers in Houston have embodied the true spirit of service, dedicating their holiday season to giving back to the community. This year was no exception as they participated in the nation’s largest Feeding & Turkey Distribution event at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

In collaboration with local organizations and community leaders, including Houston Mayor John Whitmire, former Mayor Sylvester Turner, and Erica Lee Carter, daughter of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the volunteers helped distribute meals to families in need, ensuring no one is left behind this holiday season.

The Ismaili Boy Scouts Troop 797 also played a proud role in the event, exemplifying their commitment to civic responsibility.

This heartwarming initiative highlights the power of unity and service, inspiring Houstonians to come together to support those in need. Let’s continue to uphold this spirit of compassion and generosity during the holidays and beyond.
