Niazi, a double amputee, fought alongside U.S. forces in Afghanistan before immigrating to the United States. Authorities arrested 37-year-old Masiullah Sahil, who has been charged with murder. Prosecutors revealed that Sahil allegedly confessed to Niazi’s wife, admitting to the killing. During a court hearing, they also stated that Sahil was frustrated with his refugee status, though the exact motive remains under investigation.
