HOUSTON, TX — A tragic car crash in the early hours of June 27 has shaken the Houston community to its core, claiming the lives of two young men, Syed Almeer Hassan and Ahmed Siddiqi. The fatal incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near Wilcrest Drive and Bexley Drive, when the black Honda Accord they were traveling in veered off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
In a heartbreaking turn, the vehicle re-entered the roadway and was hit by an oncoming white Honda Accord. The driver of the second vehicle was unharmed and cooperated with investigators.
The community is grieving, not just for the loss of life, but for the loss of two sons, brothers, and friends who were deeply loved. Both young men were known for their kind hearts and active presence in the community.
Now, friends and neighbors are rallying together in an effort to support the families through an online fundraiser with a goal of $20,000 — $10,000 per family — to help cover funeral costs and provide urgent financial relief.
“These were not strangers. They were our own. And now is the time to show up for them.”
The fundraiser aims to:
• Assist with funeral and burial expenses
• Provide immediate household support
• Offer continued aid as both families navigate this devastating loss
As the community joins in prayer and remembrance, this is a moment to give back — no donation is too small when given with love.
