HOUSTON, TX — June 30, 2025
The Houston community came together in grief and prayer yesterday as 13-year-old Ahmad Siddiqui was laid to rest following a tragic car crash that occurred early Friday morning, June 27, on Wilcrest Drive.

Hundreds gathered at ISGH Masjid Hamza on Sunday afternoon for Salat-ul-Janazah, offering final prayers for the young boy whose life was cut short in a fiery collision. The funeral took place at 2:00 PM, followed by burial at ISGH Muslim Cemetery in Waller, Texas at 3:30 PM.

Ahmad, along with family friend Syed Almeer Hassan, was in a black Honda Accord when the vehicle reportedly veered off the road, struck a tree, and burst into flames. Both young men were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident has left the entire community in mourning.

“He was just 13 — a gentle, respectful, and bright young boy,” said one family friend. “This loss is beyond words.”

A fundraiser launched in support of both grieving families has seen an outpouring of community support, aiming to raise $20,000 to assist with funeral costs and provide immediate financial relief.

Police confirmed that the occupants of the second vehicle involved — a white Honda Accord — were unharmed and are cooperating fully with investigators. No signs of intoxication were observed.

As the community continues to mourn, residents are being urged to drive cautiously and hold their loved ones close. Ahmad’s memory, though brief, has left a deep and lasting impact.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un — To Allah we belong, and to Him we return.
