Fort Bend Constable Patrick Quincy’s Back-to-School Giveaway Equips Hundreds of Students for a Successful School Year

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Hundreds of families gathered in Fort Bend County as Constable Patrick Quincy and the Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office hosted the 4th Annual Back-to-School Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway, providing local students with the essential tools they need to begin the new academic year with confidence.

The community-focused event served more than 350 students, each receiving free backpacks filled with school supplies to help ease the financial burden many families face as the school year begins. In addition to distributing educational materials, the event featured outdoor activities, family-friendly entertainment, and opportunities for residents to connect with local law enforcement in a welcoming environment.

As the cost of school supplies continues to rise, back-to-school assistance programs have become an important resource for working families. Access to notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and other classroom essentials allows students to start the school year prepared, helping them focus on learning rather than worrying about whether they have the supplies they need.

Beyond providing school materials, the annual giveaway highlighted the growing role law enforcement agencies play in strengthening community relationships. Events like these allow officers and residents to engage outside traditional public safety settings, fostering trust, encouraging positive interactions with young people, and reinforcing a shared commitment to education and neighborhood well-being.

Community leaders say initiatives that invest in children ultimately strengthen the entire community. When students begin the school year equipped for success, they are more likely to participate confidently in the classroom, while families benefit from reduced financial stress during one of the busiest times of the year.

The event also showcased the power of collaboration, with volunteers, community organizations, local businesses, and supporters joining the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office to ensure every child left with the supplies needed for the upcoming school year and memories of a fun-filled day.

Constable Patrick Quincy thanked everyone who attended and expressed appreciation to the volunteers, sponsors, and community partners whose support helped make the fourth annual giveaway another successful milestone.

As another school year approaches, the initiative stands as a reminder that investing in education begins long before students enter the classroom. By providing essential resources and building stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, programs like the Back-to-School Giveaway continue to make a meaningful and lasting impact across Fort Bend County.
