— A small but committed group of Pakistani-Americans gathered at Sugar Land Town Square for a peaceful community event centered on prayers for Pakistan, national unity, and hope for the country’s future.

The gathering marked three years since the imprisonment of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. Participants offered prayers for peace, justice, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan while reflecting on the nation’s ongoing political challenges.

Although attendance was modest, organizers and participants said the significance of the event was measured not by the size of the crowd but by the sincerity of those who came together in support of their homeland.

Community members emphasized that overseas Pakistanis, regardless of political differences, remain deeply connected to Pakistan and share a common desire to see the country progress with peace, economic stability, strong democratic institutions, and respect for the Constitution and the rule of law.

Speakers encouraged unity within the Pakistani diaspora, calling on people to put Pakistan’s future above political divisions and to continue supporting the nation through constructive dialogue, civic engagement, and prayers.

The peaceful gathering concluded with collective prayers for Pakistan’s security, development, and prosperity, as well as for wisdom among the country’s leaders and institutions to work toward a stronger and more united nation.
